Tim Haines, 55
Tim Haines, 55, passed away on Sept. 27, 2018, at 4:15 a.m. at home surrounded by family and friends who loved him.
Tim was the youngest of seven children and quiet by nature. He was originally from California, where he raised two beautiful daughters and spent 20 years serving our country in the Coast Guard. He was a master craftsman with talents both in welding and carpentry.
While stationed in the Coast Guard he received many accommodations for his hard work. Part of his service included lighthouse repair. Some of the more famous projects were the Point Bonita Rehabilitation and Alcatraz. In 2002, he retired from the Coast Guard and moved to Sandpoint, Idaho, to be with family. In 2005 he met and later married Jeanette. They built a beautiful life together enjoying a love of motorcycles, fishing, camping, sports, friends, family, barbecues, and parties. Tim always had a competitive nature when it came to sports/games and refused to lose. He excelled in pretty much every sport he tried. His quiet nature, larger than life smile, great sense of humor, and competitive streak will make him missed by all who met him.
While Tim is waiting for us in heaven with his loving mother, Lorell LaValle, he will be missed by his remaining family including his father, Robert (Bob) Hansen; wife, Jeanette Haines; children, Summer Hansen, Shelby Owens, and Mike Malone; siblings, Diane Lopez, Mike Haines, Cliff (Butch) Haines, Debbie Haines, Doug Haines, and Lori Haines; his grandchildren, Jessie, Jacob, Harlow, Haven, Keira, Declan, Lily-May, and Ikaika; his best friends, Dave Kelly and Gregg Hoffman; multiple in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his Uncle Larry, and Aunt Mildred.
Instead of a service he requested a celebration of life party to be scheduled for the summer of 2019. We are hoping for late June or early July. Please contact Jeanette for further details on celebration of life party. Per his request we are to smile often and share the many wonderful memories we are blessed to have had with him. Until then, Tim, “Yes it’s ‘bomb-thirty’ and we love you!”
