Temps may be cool, but the Fall fun is sizzlin' hot
SANDPOINT — Sure, there’s a snap in the air that says fall is for real, but the entertainment action is sizzlin’ hot this week!
You’ve got two last chances (yeah, I wrote that) to catch Maya Goldblum with her dad, Arthur — one is tonight at Talus Rock Retreat Center, the second on Saturday evening at Pend d’Oreille Winery. The Panida hosts a fabulous dinner theater murder mystery Friday and Saturday nights and, on Saturday afternoon, it’s a chance to help make the Pine Street Woods project a reality by having fun at SquatchFest, held in the Granary District (next to Evans Brothers Coffee Roasters).

Enjoy this performance of Maya’s original music in an intimate listening environment, just as it should be heard.

‘Mysterious Murder of Madeline Lamar’ Dinner Theater
Venue: Panida Theater, 300 N. First Ave., in Sandpoint.
Time: Doors open at 7 p.m., show/dinner starts at 7:30 p.m.
When a group of theater friends get together to celebrate a sequel to their famous Detective Dan murder mysteries, an uninvited guest crashes the party — one of the ghosts of the Panida Theater — announcing she is there to avenge her death and one of the guests is her murderer!
This will be an experience like no other. A killer three-course dinner on the main stage of the historical Panida Theater. Vintage 1940s-eradress encouraged but not required.

Sandpoint’s own Kevin Dorin will kick off the evening of music, followed by Ruby Force, best described as Progressive Country with an Indie flair and named as one of 10 new Country and Americana artists you need to get to know by Rolling Stone Magazine in 2017. Then, there’s a don’t-miss performance featuring Omaha-based Hottman Sisters, a three-piece, indie pop/rock band on national tour to support the release of their new EP.

Help make the Pine Street Woods a reality as you enjoy live music with Harold’s IGA from 4-5:30 p.m. and BareGrass from 5:30-7 p.m.
There will be a tent and heaters to keep the chill off, beer sampling from Matchwood Brewing, plus fun for kids and adults. Food trucks will be on site, including Mandala Pizza and Jupiter Jane, as well as desserts by Winter Ridge. Organizers will be accepting donations for Pine Street Woods.

Southside Harvest Festival in Cocolalla

A full day of fun, with children’s activities, including a pumpkin patch, bouncy castle, mini golf and face painting. In addition to talented local artisans, growers and small businesses, there will be representatives from community organizations and a fire engine. The purpose of the event is to create opportunities for community members to interact and celebrate what’s great about Cocolalla and the surrounding areas.
