For the past few weeks I have attempted and successfully acquired my Idaho driver’s license. This was no small accomplishment based on the new software computer problems exasperated recently by a failure in the fiber optic internet system.
I, like many other people, had to come back several times, face long lines and “hurry up and wait.” Some people were verbally frustrated, but for the most part those of us waiting were patient.
For the staff working in the Sandpoint office I have to say congratulations. The two ladies working in that office remained friendly and polite to everyone. I can assure you they were just as frustrated with the computer system as we were. In addition they had to deal with us, the public. They did, and are still doing catch up with a friendly greeting and a smile on their face.
When you finish up your business with this department, don’t forget to tell them you appreciate what they have been through and thank them for their assistance.
