Ranch Club welcomes new owners

PRIEST RIVER — Things are changing at the Ranch Club as John Vickers and his wife, Debbie Soderblom, are taking over the golf course and restaurant.

The couple, which recently purchased the Ranch Club Golf Course and Restaurant, invite everyone to stop in and say hello.

Vickers has been a member of the PGA for over 30 years and most recently was operating Hillcrest Golf Club in Durango, Colo., where Soderblom worked as a physical therapist. With the assistance of Lisa Holder, associate broker with Keller Williams Realty Coeur d’Alene, they closed on ownership of the Ranch Club on Sept. 20, almost 33 years to the day from the prior owner’s purchase.

The couple has hit the ground running, already making improvments to the facility, adding new carts and reducing annual membership dues. More improvements are in the works, the couple said in a press release.

Dennis Napier, previous owner said he is “really excited by the direction that John and Debbie are going to take the course” and is pleased it will continue as an operating business in the community.

Vickers and Soderblom said they could not feel any more welcomed by the residents in and around Priest River since their arrival and acquisition of the Ranch Club. They said they plan to be active participants starting with more junior golf and family golf programs.

And don’t be surprised to see Napier around the Ranch Club — he’s now working for the couple.
