Dan McDonald has proven himself to be a hardworking and honest commissioner for Bonner County.

Dan always makes time to listen, respond, and act on any concerns or questions. I first met Dan in 2016 to discuss the proposed Scotchman wilderness and the false claims that most of the county supported the wilderness. Dan originally believed, like many, that those claims were true, largely due to the previous commissioners support for the proposal. Dan did his own research, talked to many residents, legislators, attended sportsman and civic groups and discovered that many residents, in fact, did not support this poorly vetted proposal.

Dan helped put the wilderness on the May 2018 primary ballot to finally give all residents a direct ability to express their opinion on this important issue. Dan was proven correct. The wilderness was soundly defeated. It would have been easy to just follow the poor and inexcusable lead of the previous commissioners and just let a large portion of our public land become permanently locked-up, but Dan acted and stood up for our county. He clearly deserves to be reelected.
