The Sandpoint Library’s lobby display cases feature exhibits curated by local organizations to highlight the many facets of our community. Organizations reserve the space for up to six weeks to display art, artifacts, photos, and information pertaining to things that matter to local residents.

When a local superstar was inducted into the National Football League Hall of Fame, the Bonner County History Museum decided to create a display to celebrate this history-making event.

Jerry Kramer, Sandpoint High School graduate turned Green Bay Packers offensive lineman, was inducted to the NFL Hall of Fame at the age of 82. His many accomplishments include an 11-year career with the Green Bay Packers, author, sports commentator, and motivational speaker. He’s a pretty big deal to most people on earth and especially to people around here.

Museum curator, Heather Upton, gathered items from the museum collection, and worked with lifelong collector, John Elsa, to bring together a display worthy of this football giant. The exhibit features trophies, trading cards, books, and other items spanning Kramer’s life to tell the story of his epic career. Football fan or not, you will be inspired.

Oct. 23 is the final day of the exhibit so make a dash over to The Library to check it out before it becomes history.
