Muriel Elizabeth Payton

| October 27, 2018 1:00 AM

Known for her heart of love, Muriel Elizabeth (Friesen, Marshall) Payton, born on Feb. 14, 1943, shared God’s love for 75 years and then went to be with the Lord on Oct. 25, 2018.

Muriel was born in Rock Springs, Wyoming, and grew up in Oregon. She went to high school, college, got married, and had four children in Oregon. She then moved to Laclede, Idaho. Her childhood dream was to be a great mom. Teri, Tracy, Tod, and Ty are evidence of Muriel being an excellent mom.

With her beautiful heart of love, she touched many people’s lives through her music, her open-door hospitality, her service in caring for the elderly, serving in Puebla, Mexico, and working for the Postal Service.

In 2004, God expanded the love and she married Dale Payton and welcomed Rick, Rod, Darrell, and Carol and their families.

She is best remembered for her faith in her Savior, Jesus Christ, anchored in God’s Word, and her praying life that has blessed us all. Her faith in God was the music in all of our lives.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2018, at 2 p.m. at the Laclede Community Church on Highway 2 in Laclede, Idaho.

Family and friends are invited to sign Muriel’s online guestbook at coffeltfuneral.com

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Coffelt Funeral Service of Sandpoint, Idaho.
