Aug. 22
Street crews were notified to clean up a paint spill reported in the area of N. Division Avenue and Cedar Street at 12:21 p.m.
A verbal warning was issued regarding speeding through a residential neighborhood in the 900 block of Larch Street at 1:13 p.m.
Charges are pending after a complaint of custodial interference at the police department in the 1100 block of W. Lake Street at 1:37 p.m.
Accidental 911 activation was reported on Chestnut Street at 2:26 p.m.
An officer located a small child who left a residence in the 1000 block of Cedar Street after a report of a missing person at 2:36 p.m.
A bike was taken as found property and several juveniles were counseled at City Beach regarding the theft code by officers at 2:37 p.m.
Accidental 911 activation was reported on Hickory Street at 3:04 p.m.
Matthew D. Parker, 31, of Sandpoint, was arrested in the area of N. Division Avenue and Walnut Street at 5:13 p.m. on a Bonner County warrant; and Joshua L. Crossley, 26, of Sandpoint, was cited at the same time and location on a charge of possession of marijuana.
An officer stood by while a technician worked on an ATM in the 300 block of N. Fourth Avenue at 7:53 p.m.
An officer was unable to locate an overdue motorist reported in the Sandpoint area at 8:57 p.m.
Officers contacted and identified a suspicious male reported in the 1200 block of Oak Street at 9:11 p.m.
The owner of a debit card found on Michigan Street was contacted
After a drunken driver investigation in the area of highways 95 and 2 at 9:55 p.m., the driver was released without charges.
A 17-year-old Sandpoint female was issued a promise to appear on a charge of possession of marijuana.
Aug. 23
Officers were unable to locate a male and female who threatened two citizens in the 700 block of Ontario Street at 12:28 a.m.
Christopher R. Gonnason, 51, of Sandpoint, was cited in the 700 block of Ontario at 12:55 a.m. on charges of possession of marijuana and paraphernalia and invalid driver’s license.
An alarm was reported in the 2200 block of Great Northern Road at 2:23 a.m.

Aug. 22
An officer responded to a report of a reckless driver in the Highway 95 area at 11:42 a.m.
Darwin Engel, 50, of Athol was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant and on a charge of possession of methamphetamine in the 477000 block of Highway 95 in Ponderay at 1:26 p.m.
An officer responded to a report of littering in the 476500 block of Highway 95 at 2:18 p.m.
An officer assisted Sandpoint Police with a missing child in the 1000 block of Cedar Street at 2:36 p.m.
An officer responded to a 911 hang-up in the 100 block of McNearney Road at 4:16 p.m.
An officer responded to a 911 hang-up in the 476800 block of Highway 95 at 5:25 p.m.
