WIRT sets Panhandle Paddle

Wild Idaho Rising Tide and allied, #No2ndBridge activists, friends, and supporters invite Northwest are hosting the fourth Panhandle Paddle activities in Sandpoint, this weekend as part of worldwide, Rise for Climate actions.

In addition to a #No2ndBridge talk on Friday, direct action training is being held today from 3-5 p.m. at the Gardenia Center, 400 Church St., Sandpoint. Trainers will hold various workshops that share frontline skills, stories, and insights.

On Sunday, WIRT and #No2ndBridge will hold a flotilla and rally from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at City Beach and Dog Beach. Those taking part in the rally are asked to arrive with boats, banners, and signs, ready to depart the south boat launch at City Beach Park for a kayaktivist flotilla around the Lake Pend Oreille rail bridge and on- and off-shore protests. At noon, a rally will greet paddlers at Dog Beach before their return.
