The upcoming elections will be a fine test of the strength of the Republican party throughout Idaho. Unemployment and taxes are relatively low, population growth (from states with high and climbing taxes and with liberal and growing governmental intrusions) and incomes are improving and the prospects for economic growth are improving.

It is no wonder that Democrats want to get on the wagon and claim more of the pie for their socialist projects. Predictably, during the primaries, some Democrats registered as Republicans to be spoilers. Why some registered Republicans who formerly held elected offices would now want to support Democratic candidates is much more of a mystery. Perhaps hurt feelings, a personal grudge or personal ambition has caused the turn around.

The possibility of the Republican party maintaining its success depends on the continuing teamwork of the majority of its members. Stuffing personal recognition and gain for the success of the team is paramount in sports, in the military, in surgery and in the election of candidates. Honesty and trustworthiness will strengthen the team and build more success. Honest conversations will lesson personal tensions and doubts. Working together to elect all Republicans will keep recent gains growing. Voting for Democratic candidates will lessen the recent gains and move Idaho closer to Socialism.

November is an excellent time to decide what you want.
