Referring to the letter by Richard Sevenich (Daily Bee, Sept. 9), after calling me a “dupe” he uses the internet as his source of wisdom. I would hope he at least would use logic before calling all people who do not accept his version of global warming as reality “dupes.”
To measure the real temperature of your home you would need about six thermometers placed in the basement, attic, east side, west side, and the north and south side and more if you had a second story. Without this much data you would have only a guess as to your house’s temperature. Since there are very few temperature monitoring stations covering the globe to this degree, the concept of climate change or global warming — I am not sure what they call it this week — is unsupported by facts.
If facts don’t scare you, look at a history book and read about how many times Lake Missoula was formed and emptied or the global ice ages which both occurred without man’s intervention. If you are really concerned about the planet, tell China to stop dumping their plastic in the ocean. Thirty percent of it is theirs. We don’t even rate in the top 5.
