Autumn pilgrimage retreat offered
The First Presbyterian Church is pleased to offer an exciting retreat called “An Autumn Pilgrimage For Your Soul.” Retreat organizers said the event is a chance for participants to enter into fall and come to a quiet, sacred space to explore pilgrimage and journey using a labyrinth.
Jolie Monasterio is a labyrinth facilitator with over 20 years of experience leading ecumenical and interfaith retreats and workshops, the church announced in a press release. Combining her expertise and passion for spiritual growth, Monasterio offers an unique perspective on the many uses of the labyrinth as a spiritual tool. Jolie completed her master’s degree in spirituality at Gonzaga and resides in Spokane. She travels within the states and beyond facilitating labyrinth journey.
Organizers said they feel very fortunate to have Monasterio share her wisdom and guidance about faith journey, pilgrimage and this unique contemplative practice.
The retreat is set for Saturday, Oct. 13, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 417 N. Fourth Ave, Sandpoint. Registration is required by Oct. 8. Contact Judy, 208-290-3119 or office@fpcsandpoint.org. Suggested donation is $35 and includes lunch. There are scholarships available, too.
