Garcia, Sutton lead Cats in rout

| September 22, 2018 1:00 AM

NORTHPORT, Wash. — Cameron Garcia and Chase Sutton hooked up on a pair of scoring strikes, leading Clark Fork to a 50-0 win over Northport (0-4) in nonleague football action Friday night.

Garcia accounted for four touchdowns, Nathan Hernandez and Toben Pincher had touchdown runs, and the Wampus Cats (4-1) scored 30 first quarter points to put the game away.

“We talked about a fast start. We exploded for 30 points. We were really sharp. Cameron was great running and throwing, he was accurate. Chase had a nice day receiving,” said Cats head coach Brian Arthun. “The best part was getting some of our younger kids in the second quarter. Seeing their smiles and making big plays was a fun part of the game.”

Things will be much tougher next week when the Wampus Cats travel to face No. 2 ranked Kendrick.
