Suit filed over lack of permits

SANDPOINT — A Bonner County landowner is being sued for constructing a home and shop building without obtaining building location permits.

A complaint for declaratory relief and injunction alleges Scott Holt built the structures in the 200 block of Castle Crest Road in Hope, according to documents filed in 1st District Court on Sept. 10.

Due to Holt’s refusal to obtain the permits, the county’s civil counsel contends there is no other remedy other than to obtain a court order requiring the removal of the structures, according to the complaint.
