Foust wins weekly pro football contest

SANDPOINT — Chad Foust, owner of Sweet Lou’s restaurant and bar, picked 11 games correctly to win the $25 Visa gift card weekly prize, joining Derek Dickinson and Ron DeNova as winners through week No. 3 in the free Pro Football U-Pick’Em contest put on by the Daily Bee.

A host of other readers picked 10 games right in a week that saw some whacky upsets, including 17 point underdog Buffalo going to Minnesota and beating the Vikings 21-6. Take that odds makers. Raise your hand if you picked the Bills in the contest? Thought so.

The overall contest lead is held by Dickinson and James Burgess at 29 points, with a pack close behind at 28 point. The contest winner will receive the local grand prize of a two night stay, with perks, at the Kootenai River Inn.

Bob Witte continues to lead the VIP pickers with 27, just ahead of Dave Demers at 26, Eric Plummer and Satini Puailoa at 25 and Caleb Bowman and Jake Plummer at 24.
