RATHDRUM — Four different Bulldogs found the back of the net, as Sandpoint took down Lakeland 5-1 in 4A Inland Empire League boys soccer action on Thursday at Lakeland High School.

Braeden Dressel scored his first goal of the season to give the Bulldogs (5-4, 3-0 4A IEL) a 1-0 lead in the 35th minute, as the game was tight early.

“Braeden stripped it from their right back and took it to the house,” described Bulldogs head coach Evan McNeley of the game’s first goal. “It was a pretty business like game for us. They challenged us into the 35th minute.”

The Bulldogs scored again when Cole Baillie stole a ball in the midfield and found Chris Koch for a score, before Baillie would take a nice pass from Garrett Chandler and finish for a 3-0 lead early in the second half.

“Garrett played a great ball to Cole on the back post and Cole slotted it home,” said McNeley, praising the play of Baillie. “Cole’s impact in the air was paramount for our success today.”

Dylan Baillie made a great forward run before finding Zander Moore for an insurance goal, before excellent service from Ryan Geise on a corner kick connected with Moore for his seventh goal of the season to cap the scoring.
