BCSO announces Boat Idaho class

The Bonner County Sheriff’s Office has announced it will be conducting a series of Boat Idaho courses in the coming months.

The sheriff’s office will be hosting courses on Saturday, April 20; Saturday, May 11; Saturday, June 1; and Saturday, June 22.

The free courses offers instruction on basic boating laws and safety.

Classes begin at 9 a.m. at the Marine Division boathouse, which is located behind the Bonner County Sheriff’s Office, 4001 North Boyer Road. The class takes about six hours and is open to any Idaho residents.

In addition to boating safety and requirements, the classes will cover also discuss necessary equipment.

Rules of navigation and boater courtesy will also be covered during the classes.
