April is Financial Literacy Month and, as household credit card debt in the U.S. hovers around $5,000, it’s time for people to take control of their finances and dump debt for good. More than 5 million people have positively changed their financial future through Ramsey Solutions’ Financial Peace University including people in Idaho.

FPU is often taught in a small group setting.

A class is being held in the area beginning April 17. The class, which will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesdays, Hotel Ruby in Ponderay.

Though it is encouraged to attend an in-person class, FPU officials said a new online video option makes these lessons available to anyone, anywhere to watch at their convenience. Individuals can still obtain the same life changing lessons in the comfort of their own home at a time that works best for them. FPU teaches people to master budgeting, dump debt, build wealth and give.
