Leadership Sandpoint class helps NAMI

| April 9, 2019 1:00 AM

The first ever Sandpoint Leadership Alumni Get-Together, held by the current class of Leadership Sandpoint, raised nearly $1,300 to assist NAMI Far North (National Alliance on Mental Illness for Bonner and Boundary counties) with its marketing plan and materials for the coming year.

Leadership Sandpoint class members said a huge thank you goes out to The 219 and Trinity for their generous sponsorships for the event and also to all that came to enjoy the event and help make it a huge success.

This year’s class has 17 students learning all about Sandpoint. The students are from a multitude of local industries including, but not limited to, aviation, finance, health, marketing, nonprofits, recreation, and telecommunications. The leadership program’s annual fundraiser on Cinco De Mayo is again at Trinity this year and will be benefiting Bonner County Homeless Transitions. BCHT needs a new roof and the class is determined to raise enough money for that roof and the labor it will take to install it.
