Pearl Victoria Powell, 86

Pearl Victoria Powell, 86, passed away in Sandpoint, Idaho, on April 8, 2019.

The vigil/rosary prayers will be held at 7 p.m., Tuesday, April 16, in Coffelt’s Funeral Chapel, Pine and Division, in Sandpoint. Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 17, 2019, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Father Dennis C. Day officiating. Inturnment will take place at a later time in the Hope Cemetery.

Pearl was born to Victor and Ardith Thies on Oct. 15, 1932, in the family home on S. Marion Street in Sandpoint. She was the oldest of six children. She lived her entire life in Bonner County and waited tables at Connie’s, The Kaniksu, The Pastime, The Edgewater, Talache Lodge, Traveler’s and The Litehouse before working for the post office for 30 years.

Pearl’s passions were people, books, music and an occasional Jack Daniels. The true light of her life was her family. Pearl will be missed by the many who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald; her children, Bill (Britt), Pete (Marchelle), Dan (Julie), Lisa (Steve) Snell, John (Wendy) and Joe; a brother, Walt (Ethel); and a sister, Donna (Clarence) Nelson; along with numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Pearl is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Jim and Curt; a sister, Beulah; and her son, Frank.
