A quartet of West Bonner County School District employees have been honored by the district as its top employees for February and for March.

Ballenger, the disttrict’s Gear Up and Near Peer coordinator, was named classified employee of the month for February while Davisson was selected as February’s top certified employee. Soumas, a speech tech at Priest River Elementary, was named the classified employee for March and Watson was recognized as March’s top certified employee.

Ballenger was nominated for all the care and time she puts in to help our students, district officials said in a press release.

“Our students really appreciate all the effort and attention she gives them with scholarship help, FAFSA and many other things,” officials said in the press release.

District officials said it was also a pleasure to recognize Davisson for all she does for the district and her students.

“Her students love how kind and positive she is, how they are all made to feel welcome and important, which encourages them to enjoy learning,” the officials said.

In addition to public recognition, area businesses have donated awards to the individuals who are recognized. The sponsor for February was The Roxy Theater. The awards for March were provided for the Infinity Cafe.

Soumas, who has been a part of the West Bonner County School District for 15 years, was nominated for going above and beyond in her position, and her care and devotion to the district’s students.

“Her positive relationships with the students make them work harder and enjoy speech,” district officials said in a press release. “Dawn is certainly a valued part of PRE.”

Watson, the certified employee of the month for March, was nominated for exemplifying excellence in teaching day in and day out.

“Theresa not only cares greatly for her students, but for our district and our community, and is involved in many committees and groups,” officials said in the press release. “She truly strives for greatness every day.”
