Area students named to SCC winter honor roll

More than 2,200 students make honor roll at Spokane Community College.

Spokane Community College lists 2,220 students on its 2019 winter quarter honor roll. The quarter ended in March. The majority of those students — 1,350 — made the president’s honor roll with a grade point average of 3.5 or above, and another 870 students were named to the vice president’s honor roll with a GPA of at least 3.0.

Among those from the area who earned the honor are:

Newport — Rebekah Brooks, Rebekah Clark, Connor Furman, Jeremy Hastings, Jesi Huntley, Emily Mayfield, Irina Mikhailenko, Alexis Musso-Leslie, Domini Nokes, Cora Pelleberg, Isabella Rogers, Hedy Seeber, Linda Sheffy, Micah Ugartechea, Ryan Wallace, Cara Wright, Summer Anderson, Dalton Arrand, Misti Garton, Wilma Hiebert, Aimee Hixson, Amie Holman, Raymond King, Daylan Kiss, Elizabeth Magnus-Evans, Abigail Proctor, Robyn Redford, Micky Roedel, Samuel Thomas, Chloe Walker, Allison Weber, and Rachel Wright;

Oldtown — Michelle Bell.

SCC is one of two community colleges within the Community Colleges of Spokane district. It is known for its programs in career and technical training as well as its apprenticeship programs, but it also offers associates degrees that are transfer-ready for those going into universities.

SCC serves about 21,000 students with a main campus in east Spokane and locations in the five rural counties of northeastern Washington.
