Dam ops update meeting is today

PRIEST RIVER — Representatives from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers are hosting an Albeni Falls Dam operations update tonight.

The meeting runs from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Priest River Event Center off Highway 2.

The seasonal water supply forecast for April through July inflow volume is 93 percent of average and snowpack in the Pend Oreille basin is slightly below average.

Outflow at the dam on the Pend Oreille River was set to increase from 31,000 cubic feet per second to 37,000 cfs on Tuesday morning. The elevation of Lake Pend Oreille is expected to increase gradually this week and projected to be in the 2,054.75 feet to 2,055.75 feet by this weekend.
