Dean Louis Press, 69, passed away unexpectedly, on Thursday, April 18, 2019.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m., Thursday, April 25, 2019, in Coffelt’s Funeral Chapel. Military honors will be provided by the

Dean was born in Spokane, Wash., on July 11, 1949, the son of Dean O and Maria Press. He grew up in Spokane, graduating from North Central High School in 1967. He joined the U.S. Army, serving in Vietnam with the 1st Infantry Division out of Ft. Riley, Kansas, earning two overseas bars and the Vietnam Service Medal.

Returning home, he worked as a private contractor in home construction, and married Carolyn Buchanan on April 7, 1972.

He is survived by his wife, Carol; and daughters Tamara (Tony Poelstra), Shelly (Dexter Soule) and Tara. Also surviving are five grandchildren; his brother, Terry; his sister, Maria; and other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, George.
