LPOSD meetings are scheduled

SANDPOINT — The Lake Pend Oreille School District is hosting a parent/community forum this week, as well as special board meeting, in regards to the search for a new superintendent.

The district recently enlisted recruiting firm McPherson and Jacobsen to assist with the search, after Superintendent Shawn Woodward announced he accepted a new position with the Mead School District as of July 1.

The parent/community forum, where everyone is invited to provide input and ask questions regarding the search, is scheduled for 5 p.m. Thursday at the Ponderay Events Center, 401 Bonner Mall Way.

The special board meeting is scheduled for Thursday as well at 10 a.m. in the district office, 901 Triangle Dr., Ponderay.
