| April 26, 2019 1:00 AM

SANDPOINT — The community is invited to see the finished statue on Sunday.

The project, which started with a 43-foot section of a 127-year-old, 120-foot redwood tree, weighing in at 42,000 pounds from Eureka, Calif., has now been completed after 10 months of chainsaw cutting. The end product is a 40-footimage, a portrayal of the dream a Babylonian king had 2,600 years ago. This kng’s dream depicted every major empire that would rule the earth, starting with this very king’s kingdom.

From the ancient Babylonian Empire to today, the image that the king dreamed tells an amazing story of the fall and rise of great empires, and is extremely relevant and pertinent to toay, and the events that we see unfolding around us, said Nicholas Mazariegos.

“This carved image is an amazing work of art, with an even more amazing history that will shock visitors at its prophetic significance,” Mazariegos said. “The image was made to bring the public a message that will affect us all.”

The community is invited to attend the unveiling at 476800 Highway 95, in Ponderay, next door to the Ponderay Police station, and across the street from the Fairbridge Inn and Suites from 12-3 p.m. on Sunday, April 28. The statue will be revealed for the first time to the public at 1 p.m., before it starts its tour across the United States.

There will be food, informational booths, and much more.
