Covey, Plue lead LPOIC standings

SANDPOINT — Dan Covey turned in the first rainbow trout in the adult standings of the Lake Pend Oreille Idaho Club’s Spring Derby on Sunday.

Covey pulled in a 15.44-pounder that measured 32 inches, putting him atop the adult standings.

Scott Plue is leading the adult Mackinaw standings with a 25.56-pound laker that measured 37 1/2 inches. Gene Binsley, Brad Sturgis, Stephen Johnson, Chris Aubrey and Lisa Greene rounded out the adult Mack standings on Sunday.

Jace Chapman was leading the Youth B standings with a 12.8-pound rainbow trout.

Ray Allison Sr., meanwhile, caught a sizable German brown trout that weighed in at 9.3 pounds and measured 27 inches.
