Linda Bradshaw

Linda Bradshaw died in her home in Clark Fork, Idaho on Friday morning, July 26, 2019. Linda lived life with kindness as her way of living every day.

Linda was a self-employed hard worker. Believing in loving what you do, she was a passionate landscaper at home and work.

Flowers were the light of her life, second only to her daughter, Carey Bradshaw of Spokane. She loved her Carey and will be with her forever. Mama loves Ms. Carey Rose.

Born in Pontiac, Michigan, to Bernita and Wilfred Berry on Feb. 21, 1948, Belinda Jean Berry graduated from Columbus High School in Columbus, Wisconsn. Linda moved to the Sandpoint area in the 1970s and only left for fabulous adventures. Her parents moved to Coolin in the Priest Lake area decades later when they recognized the beauty and lifestyle of the area.

Those who knew Linda and spent time with her over the years are fortunate to have great memories. We all have tales to tell. Yard sales. Garage sales. Road trips to the hot springs or camping or anywhere. The three-month trip to Hawaii in 1979 and the train trips to visit her brother Jack Berry and family in Wisconsin were the non-road trips and treasured. The annual train trips were anticipated and enjoyed with family and friends visits especially reconnecting with daughter Sharon Wold and family.

Despite physical issues over the later years, Linda still forgot all her woes when she got in a vehicle. Thrift stores became an every outing stop with textures and colors jumping out and into the cart.

Linda was super talented. Playing guitar and singing with a voice unmatched yet not a public audience musician, it was beautiful. When the gardens and flowers did not need tending, Linda was fishing or crafting. She started working with tiles and made hangings that were sought after yet she donated all of them to silent auctions for many benefits. Others were excited to receive one or two for gifts; treasures for sure.

There are too many good stories with laughter and Linda to mention here. Share yours with friends and family. Laugh again.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by daughters, Carey Rose Bradshaw of Spokane, Wash., and Sharon Wold (Tim) of Illinois.; a brother Jack (Phyllis) Berry of Lodi, Wisconsin; a sister, Claudia Rupwright, also of Wisconsin; her grandsons, Jarrett, Justin, Jeffrey and Jack of Illinois; and Seth and Dominick of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; and many nieces and nephews. Linda left too many friends to list but the person that spent the most time with Linda over the last few years became her closest ally and friend, Hannah Durbin. We are grateful that Hannah took the time to get to know Linda and help Linda. They became close friends.

Linda liked to paste little sayings on pretty or textured or colored strips of paper, fold them and leave them for others. Kindness led Linda through life and is what she would want you to think of when you think of her. Do something kind in memory of Linda. Make it a habit. Do it for you because kindness is good and kindness is free.
