CITIZENS PROTEST GRADE CHANGES

The city hall council chamber was a storm center of protest Monday when a number of Sandpoint residents in improvement district No. 7 demanded reasons why their sidewalk grades had been changed, stating the levels had been lowered to such an extent that rainy weather would overflow the walks. After the nucleus of the cyclone passed and only a few fluttery breezes remained, the council voted to leave the question of changing the grades to the street and alley committee.
