GU announces dean’s list honors

A Bonner County resident is among those who have earned placement on the Gonzaga University dean’s list for fall semester 2018. Students must earn a 3.5 to 3.84 grade-point average to be listed.

Earning a spot on the list for his academic achievements was Samuel Hendricks of Sagle.

Gonzaga University is a humanistic, private Catholic University providing a Jesuit education to more than 7,500 students. Situated along the Spokane River near downtown Spokane, Wash.,

Gonzaga is routinely recognized among the West’s best comprehensive regional universities.

Gonzaga offers 75 fields of study, 23 master’s degrees, four doctoral degrees in one college and six schools.

LCSC students earn academic honors

Lewis-Clark State College enjoyed a sharp increase in the number of students earning honors with a total of 950 earning either president’s list or dean’s list status for the 2018 fall semester.

The college reported 468 students made the president’s list while 482 made the dean’s list. The 950 total is the most since the 2013 fall semester when 954 received honors. It’s also an increase of 60 honor roll students from the 2017 fall semester.

To qualify for the president’s list students must have a 3.75 grade point average or higher for the semester and take at least 12 graded credits in level 100 classes or above.

The dean’s list uses the same requirements but students must have a GPA between 3.25 and 3.749.

The complete list of honor roll students is below. Idaho and Washington are listed first among the states. The remaining states are listed in alphabetical order, followed by countries outside of the United States.

Lewis-Clark State College, which has the lowest tuition among Idaho’s public four-year institutions and last year was named the top school in the nation for serving non-traditional students by Best College Reviews, begins its spring semester on Jan. 14.

Iowa State Univ. names graduates

At Iowa State University’s fall commencement ceremonies Dec. 14-15, 2018, 2,157 graduates received degrees. Iowa State awarded 1,803 undergraduate degrees, 234 master’s degrees, 119 doctor of philosophy degrees and one doctor of veterinary medicine degree.

Graduates from the area include Dustin Hagemann, who earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering.
