Chilly weather heats up with hot entertainment

| February 7, 2019 12:00 AM

SANDPOINT — We make our way into February with chilly weather and hot entertainment!

A very cool, new event is the Sandpoint Community Sing, led by Kristine Rae and happening tonight (and subsequent Thursdays, except for Valentine’s Day) at Downtown Yoga. Ever want to raise your voice in song and change the world for the better at the same time? Well, be there.

Also tonight and running through Saturday, it’s the Oscar Nominated Shorts at the Panida.

On Friday, Muffy & The Riffhangers hit the stage at Idaho Pour Authority and, that same night, it’s the monthly Contra Dance at Community Hall. The Zach Cooper Band holds court at the 219 Lounge both Friday and Saturday nights and Big Phatty & The Inhalers are still making a name for themselves this Saturday night at MickDuff’s Beer Hall.

Bob Beadling plays the historic, beautiful grand piano in inimitable fashion on Sunday afternoon at the Pend d’Oreille Winery tasting room and you can join The Conversation — where members of the arts community enjoy a lively exchange of ideas and information — next Wednesday evening at Ivano’s.
