Jaunita Hendricks

Jaunita E. Hendricks, 94, passed away in Sandpoint, Idaho, on Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2019.

Family services will be held at a later date.

Jaunita was born on October 13, 1924, in Carthage, Missouri, the daughter of Beaulah and Leonard Morris. The family moved to Southern California and, during World War II, she worked in a shoe factory manufacturing boots for the soldiers. She would later work, as a key punch supervisor, in the early days of the computer industry.

She moved to the Sandpoint area in December 2011 and enjoyed reading.

She is survived by her daughter, Nita (and Keith) Branson in Sandpoint; and a grandson, Sean; and a great-grandson, Aiden, both in California. Also surviving are her cousin, Rosemary Volpp; and her good friend, Jeannie Bailey.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Rob; and her brother, Ted.
