Feb. 5

Report of a two-vehicle, non-injury accident in the area of Washington Avenue and Church Street at 7:57 a.m.

A 15-year-old female juvenile was transported to JDU from S. Second Avenue area to serve a detention order at 8:37 a.m.

A municipal code violation was reported on Oak Street at 8:42 a.m.

A 15-year-old Cocolalla male was arrested in the 400 block of S. Division Avenue at 9:47 a.m. on a charge of possession of marijuana.

A reported reckless driver was located in the area of Fifth Avenue and Cedar Street at 10:08 a.m. and issued a warning.

A welfare check was requested on a female in the 600 block of S. Ella Avenue at 10:30 a.m.

Savannah M. LaFountain, 33, of Sandpoint, was arrested in the Larch Street area at 12:21 p.m. on a Kootenai County warrant and cited on a charge of petit theft.

A 14-year-old female juvenile was transported to JDU from the 1000 block of N. Boyer Avenue to serve a detention order at 12:41 p.m.

Information was relayed to law enforcement regarding a controlled substance incident in the Alder Street area at 1:48 p.m.

A vehicle in the 100 block of Church Street was tagged for 48-hour removal at 1:57 p.m.

Report of an animal problem on W. Lake Street at 2:46 p.m.

An officer was unable to locate a reported illegally parked vehicle in the 200 block of S. Third Avenue at 2:54 p.m.

An officer was unable to locate a dog reported to be at large in the 700 block of W. Lake Street at 2:46 p.m.

An officer was unable to locate the source of a 911 hang-up call in the Pine Street area at 3:09 p.m.

A case was assigned to cover an agency assist on Samuelson Avenue at 2:35 p.m.

A no-contact order was served on a juvenile already in custody at JDU on Samuelson Avenue at 2:35 p.m.

An officer answered a citizen’s questions in the area of Highway 2 and Pine Street at 3:33 p.m.

A call in the 1700 block of Larch Street at 3:33 p.m. turned out to be a medical call.

Helen M. Milne, 64, of Sandpoint, was arrested in the area of Pine Street and N. Fourth Avenue at 5:29 p.m. on a charge of driving under the influence.

Report of a traffic hazard in the area of N. Division and Baldy Mountain Road at 6:44 p.m.

After an alarm was reported in the 1200 block of Washington Avenue at 9:19 p.m., officers advised that no signs of entry were found.

An officer was unable to locate the source of a 911 hang-up call in the N. Division Avenue area at 11:53 p.m.

Officers assisted the county on a call in the Highway 95 area in Sagle at 2:24 a.m.

An officer responded to a reported theft on Kootenai Cutoff Road at 3:36 p.m.

An officer investigated a theft reported in the 476900 block of Highway 95 at 8:26 p.m.

An officer conducted a welfare check in the 476800 block of Highway 95 after a report of a missing person at 9:20 p.m.

An officer responded to a traffic hazard reported in the area of Highway 95 and Triangle Drive at 9:29 p.m.
