OLDTOWN — A home and garage were destroyed by a structure fire east of town on Wednesday night.

There were no reports of injuries.

West Pend Oreille Fire District firefighters, Bonner County sheriff’s deputies and Priest River police were summoned to the 2600 block of U.S. Highway 2 shortly after 8 p.m., according to the Bonner Dispatch log.

Witnesses at the scene said the fire reportedly started in the garage and spread to the residence. The business office for Excess Disposal’s business office was reportedly spared.
