Marian Heath Ruyle

Marian Heath Ruyle passed away in her home with family on Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2019.

She is survived by Heather, Chad, Jesse, Aicia and Zach Tompkins, Francie Krebs, and Jennifer and Bret Robinson.

Marian was born on July 8, 1920, in Elk River, Idaho. She later went to college at the University of Idaho which she graduated in 1942 to become the amazing teacher you all remember.

She married her husband Arthur Ruyle on July 5, 1945, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

She began teaching on Sept. 30, 1949, at the Sandpoint High School. Arthur and Marian soon after opened the first jewelry store in Sandpoint on August 27, 1957. Her talents and dedication as an educator and her music touched hundreds of you people for many decades.

There will be funeral services held on March 2, 2019, at 1 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church. Please come and say goodbye to a legend.
