Our Neighborhood Watch meeting and presentation was attended well, a great presentation, discussions and new ideas. I want to be sure and thank all the members of the community watch in Priest River that came out, as well as the block captains Rocky and Theresa Wright, Roger and Judy Black and new block captains-to-be Harold and Nancy Holmes, all of Priest River. Thank you for getting involved in our community and making a difference. A huge thank you to the Bonner County Sheriff’s Office and all who make this program possible for the communities of Bonner County and in keeping our neighborhoods safe, and to Sheryl Kins of the sheriff’s office, much appreciated for what you do … thank you so much. Thanks to the county watch coordinators from Sandpoint, Jerry Gore, Craig Nelson, Jim Corcoran, and our watch coordinators from Blanchard Idaho Pat and Wanda Coffee.

I also want to thank the River Valley Beacon for publishing the press releases in your paper, we appreciate it. Thanks to the Bonner County Daily Bee in Sandpoint and The Miner in Newport, Wash., for the same and your continued support, we are grateful. Many thanks to our very own police chief, Drew McClain of Priest River for your support, and Sgt. Chris Davis of the same department for coming to the meeting; thank you, sir. And to our neighbors to the west in Newport, many thanks the Pend Oreille Sheriff Glenn Blakeslee and the sheriff’s office for having Deputy Jake Larson attend the meeting and presentation. My heartfelt thanks to the River City Christian Fellowship Church for letting us utilize the room for our gathering, thank you. This is a fabulous program of neighbors working together, where citizens are trained to recognize and report suspicious activity in their neighborhoods and how to prevent crime before it happens. What we do matters.
