Dec. 26

Family members were contacted for an elderly female with dementia who came to the police department in the 1100 block of W. Lake Street at 9:41 a.m.

A courtesy report of a theft was filed in the 1100 block of Elderberry Avenue for Verizon at 11:16 a.m.

An officer responded to the 1400 block of Cedar Street at 11:29 a.m. and learned the situation was medical in nature and being handled by EMS.

A case was assigned to cover a reported death from natural causes on Sixth Avenue at 12:34 p.m.

A driver in the 600 block of Lincoln Avenue was able to get a spare set of keys to unlock his vehicle after a request for assistance at 1:05 p.m.

After a complaint at 3:08 p.m., officers checked on a vehicle parked in a handicapped space in the pre-100 block of Bridge Street and advised the owner forgot to put their placard up.

An officer performed traffic patrol in the First Avenue area at 4:13 p.m. but observed no violations.

A code violation (camping in the city limits) was reported in the 1400 block of Hickory Street at 1:28 p.m.

An officer answered questions for a resident in the 600 block of Division Avenue after an animal problem was reported at 7:44 p.m.

An officer was canceled while en route to assist Ponderay Police on an alarm call in the 477300 block of Highway 95 at 8:52 p.m.

A vehicle reported stolen in the 200 block of First Avenue at 9:35 p.m. was located a few blocks away several hours later. An officer advised that nothing was missing or damaged.
