Parties must be abolished

| January 6, 2019 12:00 AM

The annual budget battle is underway in Washington, D.C., but this year there’s a wild card, President Trump, is asking for what he wants, funding for the border wall.

Since President Trump has received little or no support from the Republican Party and the Democrats now control the House, the only way President Trump will get anything from Congress is to hold tough with his signature.

The Democrats and Republicans have used this tactic for more than a decade to advance their party’s agenda at budget time with little regard for the welfare of the country or the people they’re supposed to be representing. The biggest problem in Washington, D.C., is politics and the bickering between the two parties. It appears that before this country can move forward the political parties must be abolished.
