Grab your fave reads and dig into reading challenge

For years, The Library has hosted reading challenges for children and teens. Starting now, adults can join the Winter Reading Challenge 2019!

Adults, teens, and kids can register to log their reading on Beanstack at eBonnerLibrary.org. Just look for the Winter Reading Challenge quick link or web feature on the home page. Register yourself or your child and start reading for prizes and fun for all ages.

“We are opening our reading challenges up to adults because we want to encourage parents and kids to read together,” said Suzanne Davis, Children’s Services.

Truth be told, a lot of adults have asked us to provide an adult reading challenge, so we wanted to be responsive to what people are asking for.

Print reading logs are available at the Information Desk for those who prefer an offline option. Both print and digital logs will be entered into the prize drawings. Parents and caregivers can register their pre-readers to log read-to-me time and qualify little ones for prizes, too.

Adults can qualify for two drawings for grocery store gift cards each time they log a book. One of our staff commented, “What a great idea! And a great prize as well — everyone buys groceries.”

- Saturday, Jan. 12 — High School eSports League. 1 p.m. in the Teen Lounge. Making eSports available to high school gamers by facilitating healthy competition on a varsity level in a comfortable environment is the mission of the HSEL.
