SANDPOINT — Love to garden but don’t have a spot at your home or apartment?

The Sandpoint Park and Recreation Department has community garden plots available, that are open to the public to reserve for the upcoming 2019 gardening season. A plot map, depicting available plots is available on the Parks and Recreation online facilities catalog at: https://secure.rec1.com/ID/city-of-sandpoint/catalog.

To reserve one of the available plots, interested parties will need to visit Sandpoint Parks and Rec in person, at 1123 Lake St., Monday-Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Call the office at 208-263-3613 for specific plot availability.

Plot fees, which are non-refundable, are $20 for a 4-foot by 8-foot plot or $25 for a 7-foot by 7-foot plot.

Gardening season is roughly mid-May (depends on the spring) through mid-October. The garden is located within the Old Ninth Grade Center Park, Highway 2 and Boyer Avenue in Sandpoint.
