Ghan to speak on climate change

| January 16, 2019 12:00 AM

SANDPOINT —Climate change is real, it’s serious, and it’s solvable.

That’s the message Dr. Steven Ghan — world-renowned climate scientist, IPCC contributor, and Pacific Northwest National Laboratory Fellow (retired) — will share when he returns to Sandpoint today for an event hosted by the local chapter of the nonpartisan Citizens’ Climate Lobby.

The free event will be held at the Sandpoint High School auditorium at 6 p.m.

In an effort to include students in the discussion, and as part of its dedication to enacting pragmatic, win-win climate policies, Idaho Forest Group is sponsoring a student competition focused on climate solutions. Student awards will be presented at the conclusion of the presentation.
