(Photo courtesy LEIGH VAN ASPEREN) Leigh Van Asperen captured this photo of five friends who took part (belatedly) in the Polar Bear Plunge on Jan. 1. “We got there at 10:45 a.m. thinking it was to start at 11 a.m. only to find out they started at 10 a.m.,” Van Asperen said. “They generously left their ladder for us and then we took the plunge too.”
