Charles D. 'Chuck' Osterholm, 82

Charles D. “Chuck” Osterholm of Spokane Valley passed away at the age of 82.

He is survived by his sister, Janice (Robert) Reynolds of Yakima, Wash.; his sons, Lonnie (Kim) Osterholm of Deer Park, Wash., Tim (Tricia) Osterholm of Spokane Valley, Wash., Troy Osterholm of Las Vegas, Nev., and Nathan Osterholm of Seattle, Wash.; and by numerous extended family. He was preceded in death by two sons, Mike Osterholm and Todd Osterholm; and his granddaughter, Kayln Osterholm.

Born in Gig Harbor, Wash., in 1936, he was raised in the town of Pack-wood near Mt. Rainier, and in Selah, Wash. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.

Never fully retiring he worked in banking, financial services, and insurance, plus he was an inventor in his spare time, having acquired a number of patents. His home away from home was in Cocolalla, Idaho, where he escaped to enjoy the forest, abundant wildlife and plenty of fishing.

He was known for his quick wit, quirky humor and outgoing personality. He will be greatly missed.
