| January 29, 2019 12:00 AM

Cornerstone Physical Therapy in Sandpoint led by Amanda Thome, PT, DPT welcomes the newest member of the team, Ryanne Lemon, PTA.

Lemon graduated with honors from Idaho State University with an applied science degree in physical therapy assistant as well as a bachelor’s degree in health science. Lemon competed as a varsity athlete in both track and cross country for Washington State University for four years and completed her first Ironman triathlon in 2009.

Lemon has also received certification as an ACE personal trainer, as well as PSIA certifications in both skiing and snowboarding.

Since graduating and becoming a nationally licensed therapist, Lemon has undergone specialized continuing education in numerous advanced manual therapy techniques including muscle energy, Mulligan mobilization techniques for the spine and extremities and kinesio taping. Cornerstone and Lemon both appreciate the value of continuing education and for that reason the therapists attend and host courses that are considered top in the field.

Lemon has strong professional experiences treating patients both on land and in the aquatic setting. Cornerstone is excited to have Lemon’s knowledge, skills, and her empathetic nature as a part of the team, Thome said.

Thome said Cornerstone staff feel Lemon’s experience will be perfect for the clinic which offers the only full-sized warm water aquatic therapy pool in Sandpoint as well as a fully equipped land based physical therapy program.

Lemon said she believes in an overall mind and body approach to decreasing pain, as well as increasing strength and overall well being.

In her off time, Lemon said she enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking and skiing with her husband, 8-year-old son, 6-year-old daughter and yellow lab.

In addition, Lemon has also worked as a ski and snowboard instructor at Schweitzer Mountain Resort for over 10 years, and is currently helping coach the STARS youth race team at Schweitzer Mountain. She is passionate about staying active and enjoys sharing her passion with others.
