PLUMMER — Clark Fork girls basketball fell in a close 49-45 league game against Lakeside on Monday night.

“These two teams are so close that it’s always a hair raising competition when they play,” Clark Fork head coach Jordan Adams said. “Lakeside barely came out on top. But the Lady Cats made the Knights really work for that W.”

The Knights held Clark Fork senior stalwart Brooke Stevens to only five points, but the point guard did most of her damage dishing the ball. She finished the night with seven assists to compliment her four steals on the other end. Sarah Hathaway paced the Lady Cats with her team-high 13-points and five-rebounds.

Lakeside’s Tommia Pakootas led all scorers with 15 points.

As a team, the Lady Cats shot 5-14 from the free-throw line in the loss.

Clark Fork (7-5, 3-3 NSL) will travel to league foe Kootenai on Tuesday.
