MCC tailgate sale is set for Saturday

HOPE — The community is invited to join the fun at Saturday’s Summer Tailgate Sale.

The sale, which will be held at the Memorial Community Center at 415 Wellington Place, takes place from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

MCC executive director Carolyn Speelmon said any and all types of vendors are welcome to take part.

“It’s a great time for cleaning out the garage or storage unit and getting rid of those unused or unwanted items,” she said.

If folks want to make some extra cash, Speelmon said $15 rents a 10-foot by 10-foot space and tables are available to rent for an additional $5. Or if folks are looking for special treasures, there will be plenty of them on hand at the tailgate sale. To reserve a space, call the office at 208-264-5481.

The Whispering Pines 4-H Club will have great bake sale items and other lunch items available to purchase as well.

All proceeds go to the Memorial Community Center and the Whispering Pines 4-H Club.
