Surely a better solution exists for city's goose problem

I have always understood that geese mate for life and always return to the same location for nesting. So how can the geese that hang out at City Beach be relocated?
Won’t they actually fly back to where Sandpoint Parks and Recreation Director Kim Woodruff and his associates trapped them and shipped them to be relocated? Maybe he should have checked this out with an expert on geese a little better before he decided to take the action he did. I sure don’t like the idea of trapping the geese and banding them so when they fly back to Sandpoint they will be killed.
Come on, Kim, do a little research and come up with a better solution.
