PRIEST LAKE — Motorists approaching the Priest River raft slide on Highway 57 are asked to use caution as Northern Lights Corp. will be conducting tree felling between 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. starting on July 16 in order to prep an expansion of the current parking area and to increase sight distance for motorists using the highway.

The tree felling work is expected to last up to four days in the area approximately a quarter mile south of the intersection of Highway 57 and the Kokanee Parkway, near milepost 25. The NLC normal work hours are 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on workdays. Idaho Transportation Department traffic controllers will be on site for the duration of the tree felling effort.
