FIRES SWEEP NORTH IDAHO
Forest fires which have raged in this section for two weeks became menacing when high winds Tuesday night, Wednesday and part of Thursday fanned the flames into roaring furnaces that swept into standing timber and in several districts burned out ranchers. Forestry supervisor Ryan said if hot, dry weather continues two weeks more without rain, there is every probability the fires will get so far out of control as to equal the 1910 fires, when losses in this section exceeded $1,000,000.
