The Idaho Commission on the Arts has announced its Fiscal Year 2020 annual grants, totaling $544,008 to 76 organizations and schools spanning 24 communities throughout the state. Organizations and schools receiving grants will match their awards with locally-generated

Executive Director Michael Faison expressed appreciation to Idaho’s elected officials for their continued support for the Commission’s statewide programs. “We are grateful to Governor Little and the Idaho Legislature for their ongoing civic commitment. Through these grants, Idahoans in every region gain access to their artistic heritage and Idaho youth engage in creative learning opportunities, both in and out of school.”

In announcing the grants, Idaho Commission on the Arts Chair Kay Hardy said, “A civilized society has the arts at its core. Artists who create work of beauty and enduring meaning ennoble our state. Arts organizations and schools in every region of Idaho, which bring that beauty and meaning to our children and families, are to be applauded. The Idaho Commission on the Arts is privileged to support such a public benefit.”
